Service and Maintenance
To wear a watch while swimming, it should have a minimum water resistance of 5 ATM (50 m / 165 ft). For water activities such as snorkeling, surfing, or diving, a water resistance of 10 ATM (100 m / 330 ft) or higher is recommended.
Delbana strongly advises against using leather straps in water, as this may damage the material. Rubber straps and metal bracelets, however, are perfectly suited for aquatic use.
For Delbana watches with a water resistance of 5 ATM (50 m / 165 ft) or more that have been recently checked, you can clean them using warm fresh water with a drop of gentle liquid soap, then dry carefully with a soft microfiber cloth.
For vintage Delbana watches, or if you are unsure about the integrity of the water resistance, simply moisten a microfiber cloth and gently wipe the watch to preserve its finish.
For mechanical Delbana watches, a complete service is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the longevity and precision of the movement. To send your watch in for servicing, please contact your local Delbana service center or us directly. Do not send your watch without prior contact.
Quartz watches generally only require a battery replacement, as the movement itself does not need regular servicing. Battery replacements can be performed at your local Delbana service center.
We also recommend having your Delbana watch checked for water resistance once per year, which can be done at any authorized service center.
